Protecting God's Children

We at Holy Family strive to create a safe and supervised environment for our children. We commit ourselves to keeping vigilant for the welfare of our children, youth and in fact all our parishioners. To that end, in accordance with diocesan Child Protection policies, EVERY employee and volunteer on Holy Family campus is required to do three things.

1) Attend a VIRTUS training session.

2) Complete a background screening.

3) Sign a code of conduct.

All three of these requirements can be fulfilled by going to www.drvc.org/virtus and clicking on first time registrant to sign up for a VIRTUS training session. You will then be prompted to complete both the background screening and code of conduct forms.

These procedures are set in place as proof of our parish’s and your own personal commitment to address the conditions that have contributed to the creation of an environment in which the abuse of children can occur.

Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter and for all you do for the parish of Holy Family.

What should I do if I suspect a child is being abused?

If you or someone you know has experienced an incident of sexual abuse by clergy, employee or volunteer of the Diocese of Rockville Centre, please contact law enforcement and the Office for the Protection of Children and Young People.

The office maintains a special phone for these situations
